Wind Catcher project would benefit utility customers, says landowner
The Public Service Co. of Oklahoma's proposed Wind Catcher Energy Connection project would be a boon to PSO customers, saving residents more than $2 billion over the 25-year life of the project, said landowner Tim Hanvey. "Wind energy helps keep prices stable because there isn't any fuel cost, and prices are locked in for 25 years," he said.

Technological advances are increasing wind generation and delivering a higher cost-savings -- benefits Indiana could take advantage of if it had the right policies in place, writes Kerwin Olson of the Citizens Action Coalition. "We highly encourage community leaders and elected officials in Cass and Miami counties to take a strong look at supporting the proposed project in this part of the state," he writes.
