They argue that some markets in the US "include design features that may limit choice, create conflicts with state and local policy objectives, over-procure or unnecessarily retain capacity, and raise costs for customers," and go on to call for technology-neutral market rules and other changes. "This project is one component of a comprehensive strategy Kohler has created to achieve its overall goal of being 'net zero' in greenhouse gas emissions by 2035," said Kohler Director of Sustainability Rob Zimmerman. The firm added that the repowering will change the project's capacity from roughly 50 MW to 76 MW.
