GE Renewable wins turbine supply deal with Engie
GE Renewable Energy has won a contract to supply Engie with 24 3.8-megawatt and eight 3.4-MW turbines for it 119-MW Willogoleche project in South Australia, said the companies. "We are excited to be working with Engie on this project, and to continue our commitment to serving the energy needs of South Australia," said GE Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea CEO Geoff Culbert.

Report: Clean energy policies added $9.1B to Calif. Inland Empire economy
Climate and clean energy policies generated $9.1 billion in direct economic growth and created 41,000 direct jobs in California's Inland Empire region between 2010 and 2016, according to nonprofit Next 10. "In total, the net impact in the region from the renewables portfolio standard exceeded $12.4 billion and helped boost the Inland Empire's competitive advantage in the renewables sector," said Green Economy Program Associate Director and lead author Betony Jones.
