Analysis: Trump won't stop US clean energy transition
The US will continue its transition to a clean energy economy regardless of President-elect Donald Trump or the fate of the Clean Power Plan, according to this analysis. Observers say that low-cost renewables are an increasingly attractive energy source, especially as coal-fired power plants across the country continue to retire.

The industry likely will continue to grow in the US, though at a slower rate, as companies end their rush on projects expected to qualify for the wind energy Production Tax Credit, thanks to its extension.
