Dear Dan Stafford, So far only a few people have submitted their support of the North Walsham wind project to the NNDC planning application. If you are one of them, then thanks! NNDC - The Town and District Councils need to know that people are genuinely in favour of our scheme. If you have yet to respond, please do so quickly. The earliest decision date for the application is May 23, less than two weeks away. You can respond by one of: email (to: planning@north-norfolk.gov.uk) post (to: Planning Section, North Norfolk District Council, Council Offices, Holt Road, Cromer, NR27 9EN) online (at the Council's online portal: http://goo.gl/06Q4P ). Please quote the application number PF/12/0391 in all correspondence. The application process has unfortunately been blighted by a flyer, full of inaccuracies, that has been circulated around North Walsham. It is important that involvement in the planning process is based on facts and not lies, so we must stress the facts about this project: * The economics and feasibility of the project are sound, and have been thoroughly researched. The chosen site is suitable. * The chosen turbine is an extremely quiet model, and its slim grey profile is unlikely to dominate any view. * A year-long ecological study has shown that there will be no ecological damage. * Operating profits and benefits will be retained within the area. Being part of this is something normal people can do for themselves and the world. * North Walsham suffers economically from a lack of electricity; the turbine will help to redress that balance. * There is a real and urgent threat of climate change - we face the need to take action now. Do support our application, and be a part of a real community power movement! Kind regards, Unity Wind Limited http://www.unitywind.com
