New Solar-Electric-Thermal Hybrid Process Could Push Atmospheric CO2 Levels To Pre-Industrial In A Decade

Scientists from George Washington University and Howard University, both in Washington, DC, have advocated a process with the acronym STEP. It would scrub CO2 from the air and turn it into synthetic fuel such as jet fuel or diesel fuel using a 34-50% efficient combination of solar-electric and solar-thermal power.
