GREENBUZZ for January 17, 2005

Taking Care of Business

If "green" is such great business, how come the financial community has taken its time rewarding ethical, eco-conscious companies? (Incidentally, PBS is banking on the subject's appeal to a socially and environmentally conscious investing public. Its upcoming series, "Ethical Marketplace," debuts in March.)

Also: Columnist Gil Friend argues the long- and short-term payoffs of locally focused sustainability strategies.
