Toxic water worries residents

NOW to advocate for federal money to hook up their homes to Lake Michigan

Report: Great Lakes not protected

Canada and the United States are moving too slowly on water conservation
measures in the Great Lakes -- and neither government has a good grasp of
how much water is taken out of the lakes for drinking water, industry and

Lake Michigan's new high-speed ferry is canceling an average of one round
trip every two weeks, mostly because of rough seas, but passengers are still

Durham, Ontario, and surrounding residents are experiencing smelly -- but
harmless -- tap water due to the decomposition of certain types of algae in

Midwest Energy pays air pollution fines

U.S. EPA has announced a settlement with Midwest Energy Resources Co. coal
terminal for past violations of air pollution regulations. The company
receives coal by railroad car, stores it and ships it to eastern sites via
